He seldom reacted when Breezepelt's forearm lurched towards Lionblaze's face.
"Don't think that Starclan's little trick there made me forget about blinding you." Breezepelt lifted his paw, and Lionblaze focused on it as everything lurched with another spin. "Where'd your oh-so-powerful attitude go?! You look like a scared kit!" He winked down at Lionblaze. Lionblaze felt like everything was spinning, and he felt the need to run to the Moonpool, like the voice had demanded.īreezepelt laughed again. "You clan cats are such cowards! Starclan too!" "You're running away?!" Breezepelt let out a scratchy meow of laughter. Breezepelt looked stunned above him, but then he shook his head, and grinned down at Lionblaze. Lionblaze was thrown back into the present. "Run," meowed a she-cat with a rough voice. "Roll in dirt, you doghearted mistake." Then Lionblaze felt a chill run down his spine, and he felt as though he'd fallen into darkness. "And I have no clue where Dovewing wandered off to, so you're the first I get to claw the eyes out of." "Well, Jayfeather's ALREADY blind," he sneered. "Not if you can't see me," responded Breezepelt.
"You're welcome, Breezepelt," He meowed sarcastically, and then he dashed off into the forest. "This one is MY KILL, Snowtuft," screeched Breezepelt. He slammed down on Lionblaze, keeping him pinned before he could stand up. The tom staggered backwards in surprise, and Breezepelt sent him flying with a swing of his haunches. He darted forward, raking the white tom's chest. "You have to kill me first, coward!" hissed Lionblaze. "Tigerstar's gonna be so proud when I haul his body back, Breezepelt!" "If you're so strong, why are you cowering under me, huh?" The white tom looked over his shoulder. Lionblaze looked up to see his assailant, a stark white cat with a ghastly scar running down his face and side. "One of the three, oh so powerful," came a snide voice. 'Who else is fighting me,' Lionblaze wondered.
But some other cat barreled into his side, sending him rolling across the clearing, and slamming him into the ancient oak. "Don't talk about Hollyleaf like you know anything, you foxheart!" Lionblaze, surging with rage, charged towards Breezepelt. Breezepelt flew off of him, but landed smoothly. Lionblaze screeched and kicked Breezepelt with his hind paws, claws raking his belly. We've already been done with Hollyleaf, and you're next!" "You have no idea what I've been through! You and your disgusting kin deserve to die. Lionblaze hissed as he was blinded by pain, blood welling out of his nose. "Shut up!" Breezepelt screeched, slashing Lionblaze across the muzzle. "Weak on your own, but so strong with those creeps!" Lionblaze writhed under Breezepelt's weight.
